The Doors are one of the few bands that unites the young and old. Danny’s fiancée Amy wanted to make sure that Ray knows that she thinks he’s a genius. Mission accomplished. A new documentary about The Doors, When You’re Strange, is about to come out with Johnny Depp narrating. Ray really digs what Johnny’s voice brings to the film. Jim Morrison’s poetry on stage might not have been non-stop genius, but the magic of editing tightened it up and got rid of the rambling. Ray wants to take all the energy from partying, having fun, and making art an change the world to make it a better place. Ray likes Val Kilmer, but might have issues with Oliver Stone’s dialogue. The documentary is the REAL Doors. There’s a lot of pieces missing from the progression of the band. Ray might not suggest dropping some acid and watching the film, but make smoke a little. He’s wowed by the power of today’s product. He’s a sharp guy, not many brain cells have been killed so far.
